They also pay for the things that are given away: the 515-card flashcard deck is free to download, print and hand out.
Nothing here is behind a paywall and nothing is planned to be. A donation buys nothing that reading the site for free does not already give you.
Payment is handled entirely by PayPal. No card details, names or addresses reach this site, and none are stored here — there is no database of donors because there is nothing to put in one.
