Herb of the Day

One herb each morning, from the catalogue

Every morning, one herb from the Bencao Index catalogue: its pinyin, pharmaceutical Latin and English names, the channels it enters, and what the catalogue records it as doing. Drawn from the 515 herbs with clinical actions recorded.

What to expect

One email a day, and nothing else. No advertising, no sponsored herbs, and your address is not shared with anyone or used for anything else — there is no second list to be moved onto.

You will be asked to confirm by email before anything is sent. That is deliberate: it means nobody can add your address but you.

Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe that works immediately, and most email clients will show you their own unsubscribe button as well.

What it is not

It is a study aid drawn from a reference work that is knowingly incomplete. It is not clinical advice, not a prescription, and not a substitute for training or for a full materia medica. Herbs recorded as toxic are included, because leaving them out would teach the wrong lesson — read the cautions on the record.
