Bleeding from cervicitis or polyps of the cervix: + ai ye, + jing jie, + xue yu tan

Cautions

contraindication Any Heat pattern, including Kidney Yin deficiency with deficiency Fire, since the formula is warming and astringent
contraindication Damp-Heat with burning, dark, scanty urine: warming and astringing would trap the pathogen and worsen the Heat
contraindication An active exterior invasion such as a cold or flu
caution Avoid where Damp or food stagnation has not cleared: Mu Li, Sang Piao Xiao and Wu Wei Zi hold things in and may trap a pathogen
caution Contains Fu Zi, which must be the properly prepared form and used only under professional guidance
pregnancy Use in pregnancy only under professional guidance, because Fu Zi and Rou Cong Rong are strongly warming

Preparation

Pills of the finely powdered herbs, classically bound with wine and taken with warm salted water, the Mu Li calcined first; also made as a decoction with the calcined Mu Li cooked first
