  • Final stage of a warm-febrile disease in which deep Heat has badly damaged Yin and Blood
  • Dry mouth and throat, dizziness, ringing in the ears and palpitations
  • Heat lodged so deep that the limbs are cold (true Heat, false Cold), with a restless, pounding feeling in the chest and at times pain in the heart
  • Tongue dry and deep red; pulse thin, rapid and without force
