  • Either restless, unsound sleep or too much sleep
  • Tongue pale with a white coat that may be sticky; pulse flooding, moderate and wiry, but choppy under firm pressure

Leaches out Dampness

  • Heavy body and irritability
  • Painful joints that are hard to bend and straighten
  • Cough with sticky sputum
  • Frequent clear urine, with frequent diarrhoea or else constipation
