Headache, fever with mild chills, and body aches
Little or no sweating in spite of the fever
Tongue normal or palish with a thin white coat; pulse floating, or floating and thin

Nourishes Yin and Blood

Usually follows a long illness or heavy blood loss, such as childbirth, heavy periods or nosebleed
Worn out, with a sallow or pale face and a dry throat or mouth

Cautions

caution Give it very slowly, and only once it is clear that the patient is not already sweating
contraindication Not for use once sweating has begun or when there is spontaneous sweating
caution Aim for a light sweat only; a heavy sweat can drain the Blood and Yin further
contraindication Not for Wind-Heat, or for excess exterior patterns with no underlying deficiency
caution Wu Yi should not be taken during a course of this formula
pregnancy Needs a qualified practitioner's supervision in pregnancy
lactation Needs a qualified practitioner's supervision during breastfeeding
