Clears Heat

Heat and toxins in the Interior while Exterior signs still linger: high fever of sudden onset with chills and no sweating
Internal Heat stagnation with a red face, great thirst, dry nose, mouth and teeth, and irritability
Severe headache, insomnia, listlessness and in severe cases delirium
Scanty, reddish urine
Tongue red and dry with a yellow coat; pulse large and rapid, slippery and rapid, or wiry and rapid

Cools the Blood to stop bleeding
