Warms and tonifies the Spleen, Stomach and Kidneys

Yang deficiency of the Spleen, Stomach and Kidneys with Cold accumulating inside
Diarrhoea containing undigested food, or loose stools
Diarrhoea at daybreak (cock's-crow diarrhoea)
Vomiting, reduced appetite and no thirst
Fullness of the epigastrium and abdomen that is eased by pressure

Dispels Cold and replenishes Yang

Aversion to cold, back pain, and limbs that are cold and stiff
Clenched jaw (trismus)
Tongue pale, possibly moist, with a white coat; pulse deep, slow and weak

Phlegm-Damp in senile dementia: + bai jie zi, + gua lou, + zhi tian nan xing
Swollen limbs in senile dementia: + fu ling, + che qian zi, + ze xie
Senile dementia where Blood stasis causes limb pain and paralysis: + tao ren, + hong hua, + ji xue teng

Cautions

contraindication Fever from an external invasion
caution In sudden turmoil disorder (acute vomiting with diarrhoea), stop the formula once the vomiting and diarrhoea have settled
