contraindication Deviation of the mouth or hemiplegia from internal Liver Wind or rising Liver Yang, unless the formula is modified
contraindication Deviation of the mouth or hemiplegia from Qi deficiency with static Blood, unless the formula is modified
contraindication Facial deviation from Wind generated by deficient Blood or Yin
caution Bai Fu Zi is toxic and must be properly processed before it is taken; Quan Xie is mildly toxic, and Wu Gong, often added, is toxic too: keep doses low
caution Because of its toxic herbs, use only in short courses under a practitioner, not long term or in high doses
caution A new facial droop can come from stroke or other serious causes and needs prompt medical assessment before any herbal treatment

Equal parts of the three herbs ground to a fine powder and taken with warm wine, or warm water; may also be made as a decoction
