contraindication Huang Bai is bitter and cold, so it does not suit leg weakness or discharge that comes from Spleen or Kidney deficiency, or from Cold-Damp without Heat
caution Taken for a long time it can damage the Yang of the Spleen and Stomach
caution Weak Spleen and Stomach: use with care, since its bitter cold nature can weaken digestion
caution Needs modifying when there is Lung Heat, or deficiency of the Liver and Kidneys
